NOTICE PURSUANT TO SECTION 7 OF THE PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION ACT 2010

  1. Collection of Personal Data
    • This Personal Data Notice is issued to all our existing and prospective shareholders, investors, purchasers, tenants, users and other data subjects pursuant to the enforcement of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 on 15th November 2013.
    • In the course of your dealings with CTC Development Malaysia Sdn Bhd (“the Company”), we have collected and/or will be collecting and processing your personal information (“Personal Data”) to enable us to enter into commercial transactions and/or to keep you updated on our projects, products, and services.
    • We treat and regard the maintenance and processing of your Personal Data with the utmost importance.

    • The Personal Data collected may include, but is not limited to: name, date of birth, identity card number, passport number, address, gender, race, nationality, marital status, employer, income range, type of loans applied for in relation to the purchase of property, email and contact details, and other relevant information necessary for us to provide our services and products.
  3. Purpose of Collection of Personal Data
    • Your Personal Data has been and/or will be collected and processed by us for the following purposes:
      • Delivery of company reports, newsletters and investor relations information;
      • Delivery of promotional materials (brochures, flyers, emails, etc.) related to our projects, products and/or services;
      • To recommend properties (if any);
      • Maintenance of shareholder, investor, tenant, customer and purchaser records;
      • Marketing and client/tenant profiling;
      • Execution of agreements and/or contracts;
      • Credit assessment, financial and background checks;
      • Security and fraud prevention;
      • Statistical analysis;
      • Corporate communications, branding and publications (printed, website, electronic media);
      • Internal record-keeping and corporate governance;
      • Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and court orders;
      • Vacant possession, key handover, property management, customer service and/or defect rectification works;
      • Any other purposes related to our business.
  4. Rights of Access and Correction
    • You may, at any time, request access to or correction of your Personal Data if it is inaccurate, misleading, outdated, or incomplete. Requests may be made to:

    • The Personal Data provided to us will be kept confidential. However, you agree, consent and authorise us to disclose your Personal Data to the following parties:
      • Any persons, government agencies, statutory authorities and/or regulators as required by law;
      • Any associated, related and/or subsidiary companies of CTC Development Malaysia Sdn Bhd, including those incorporated in the future;
      • Our business partners and affiliates;
      • Our auditors, consultants, lawyers, accountants and professional advisors;
      • Our third-party service providers, management companies, contractors and agents as deemed necessary to facilitate your dealings with us.
  6. Consequences of Refusal/Failure to Provide Personal Data
    • Failure to provide the required Personal Data may result in:
      • The inability to formalise any agreement or transaction;
      • The inability to provide you with updates on our business, projects, products and/or services;
      • The inability to complete commercial transactions in relation to our projects, products and/or services;
      • The inability to comply with applicable laws, regulations, directives or court orders.
  7. Security
    • Your Personal Data will be kept and processed in a secure manner. Appropriate administrative and security safeguards will be implemented, in accordance with applicable laws, to prevent unauthorised processing, accidental loss, destruction or damage.
  8.  Language
    • This Notice is issued in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. In the event of any inconsistency, the English version shall prevail.
